About

About Ruth Forman

Ruth Forman is a clinical psychologist based in Australia, offering supportive, evidence-based psychological care to adults across a wide range of concerns.

Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and a Master of Psychology, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is a registered Medicare provider (No. 4446691K), enabling eligible clients to access rebates with a referral from their GP.

Her practice has been built around a simple commitment: that good therapy should feel both grounded and genuinely supportive. She draws on a broad toolkit of scientifically proven therapies — cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, relationship therapy, motivational interviewing and supportive counselling — tailoring each treatment plan to the person in front of her.

Ruth has experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, complicated pregnancy, self-esteem concerns and critical incident stress. Her style is collaborative and non-judgemental: she sees therapy as a shared piece of work, where insight and practical skills are developed together at a pace that feels right for you.
